A native Charlestonian and avid fisherman, Anthony grew up on the Lowcountry’s waterways before attending Clemson University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He then graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was admitted to the S.C. Bar in 2001. Anthony returned to Charleston to clerk for the Honorable Irvin G. Condon and joined Dodds Hennessy & Stith Law Firm in 2005. Today, Anthony lives on Isle of Palms with his wife and their three children. He has been a volunteer with the Sullivan’s Island Fire Department for over 25 years. When he is not in the office, you can find Anthony offshore fishing, hunting, attending Clemson football games, or traveling with the family.

Jack Gresh enjoys a diverse practice. In addition to real estate, Jack has significant experience in trying complex cases to juries throughout the Southeast.  His litigation practice is primarily concentrated on medical malpractice, significant personal injury and wrongful death cases. He also serves as a certified mediator.  He is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Jack obtained a Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law, where graduated cum laude. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in economics at the University of Georgia, cum laude, where he received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.  Jack is happily married with three boys and lives in Mt. Pleasant.  In his free time, he serves as a volunteer firefighter with Sullivan’s Island Fire & Rescue and enjoys golfing, fishing, and watching his favorite Georgia Bulldogs.

Born and raised in Charleston, Chilton attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Chilton attended Florida Coastal School of Law and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2010 before joining Dodds Hennessy & Stith in September of 2013. Chilton lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife and two children. Outside of the office, he likes to spend time with family, hunt, and fish.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Justice Studies from Kent State University, Betsy moved to Charleston. She joined the Dodds, Hennessy & Stith team in 2006 as a real estate paralegal. After nearly ten years with the firm, Betsy and her family relocated to Jacksonville, FL, where her husband is part of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Minor League Baseball organization. Betsy takes pride in providing exceptional customer service, and working remotely for the firm. Outside of work, she and her husband spend a lot of time at the ballpark and going to sporting events with their two sons.

Kimberly Brooks was born in Orlando, FL, raised in Goose Creek, and lives in Summerville. She received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University has worked in law since 2007 and joined Dodds, Hennessy & Stith in 2013. With over 13 years of experience as a real estate paralegal, she has used her extensive customer service skills and strong work ethic to become an integral part of the team. Her motto is "Teamwork makes the Dream work," and she puts that into practice every day.

A native Charlestonian, Donna earned a B.A. in Psychology from Clemson University and an M. Ed. in Counseling from the Citadel. She has been a counselor on inpatient psychiatric units and on a diabetes care team, a retail store manager, a Food & Beverage Manager at a luxury hotel, a diabetes educator in Lowcountry health clinics, and a Patient Experience Manager and Quality Assurance Coordinator for a pharmacy delivery organization. She lives in downtown Charleston with her rescue cat, Olivia. A Clemson Master Gardener, Donna relaxes by cooking, speed walking, reading, and getting out in nature.

Jennifer originally joined Dodds, Hennessy, and Stith in 2003 after relocating from Maryland to the Charleston area. She worked with the firm as a real estate paralegal for nine years before leaving in 2012 to pursue a baking and pastry culinary degree. Jennifer came back to the firm in 2015 as a real estate paralegal for residential closings. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from Salisbury State University and an MBA from the Citadel. Jennifer resides in West Ashley with her husband and two rescued Labrador retrievers and is an avid tennis player. She serves on the Lowcountry Tennis Association board, where she is also the overall men’s league coordinator.

With over 25 years of real estate experience, Karen has served as a closing coordinator for the firm since 2005. Her duties include title orders, scheduling closings, and other general pre-closing matters for real estate transactions. Karen’s broad range of business contacts and background in the insurance and real estate industries help her provide excellent customer service. Karen grew up in Charleston and lives with her family in the Mt. Pleasant community, where she loves to boat and enjoy the warm weather.

Lyle is originally from Greenwood, SC, and moved to Charleston in 1988 to attend the College of Charleston, where she earned her B.S. degree in Psychology. She joined the firm in 1992 as a paralegal and worked for many years as a residential real estate closer until shifting her focus to commercial title insurance projects. She lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs and enjoys spending weekends relaxing on the boat or cheering on her daughters at their national cheerleading competitions.

Julie Traw’s more than 25 years of legal experience began in 1991 as a runner and real estate assistant while earning a criminal justice degree. Her broad background includes title examining, condominium and subdivision development, timeshares, and single-family residential closings across eight South Carolina counties. Julie joined Dodds, Hennessy & Stith in 2012 and handles all aspects of closing preparation and post-closing duties, working closely with clients, realtors, and lenders. In her spare time, Julie enjoys painting and spending time with family.

Born and raised in Charleston, Larry received a B.S. degree from the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of South Carolina and a degree of Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of Wig and Robe and a member of the Law Review. In 1977, Larry became an associate with the Law Firm of Bailey and Buckley, a prestigious litigation firm in Charleston until 1980, when the firm of Dodds Hennessy & Stith was founded. Larry currently practices part-time in an Of Counsel capacity. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with his grandkids.

 

William J. (Billy) Hennessy, Jr.
Attorney – Retired

Billy graduated from Bishop England High School before moving on to the University of South Carolina to obtain his B.S. and a law degree. Returning home to Charleston, Billy practiced as a solo practitioner from 1976 until forming Dodds Hennessy & Stith in 1980 with his friend and cousin Larry Dodds. Billy is a former municipal judge and a member of the South Carolina and Charleston County Bar Associations. Billy is retired and enjoys traveling the world.
